Launch reviews

It´s been exactly one week since Håvard texted me at 02.00 in the morning. “67 new users in 40 minutes.” It is the rate of 870 000 per year. Something was up. Five minutes later, he texted again: “We´re cover girls on Lifehacker.com”. Even though we were thrilled, the timing couldn´t have been worse. In the morning, both Jørn, our server master, and me were to have a presentation for the newly elected Minister of Local Government and Regional Development, Liv Signe Navarsete. Being five well educated young men, she wanted our input on why we had started our business in a rural area of Norway wich also happened to be her hometown. True story!

Jørn and Håvard stayed up nearly all night to maintain the server, while I tried to sleep. The presentation miraculously went fine, and Yast was boosting all day long. A day to remember!

First public test available

www.yast.com has entered a new phase. After nearly 10 months of closed testing, it’s now possible for everyone to try the first public test of our time tracking service.

This doesn’t mean that Yast is finished, fine-tuned and without errors. On the contrary, we open up the service so we can get more feedback on how we can improve and focus our future efforts. In addition, we have seen that many of the test users use the service on a regular basis. Especially freelancers and small companies report back to us that Yast is useful to their business.

Yast supports the "update IE 6" campain

Yast have for some time asked IE 6 users to update their browser since Yast are not going to support this format. When Finn.no launched an international campaing to export IE 6 to the museum application, Yast got inspired to support this campain with a browser-cartoon for their IE 6 visitors. Enjoy and share the campaign! (feel free to use the cartoon)

Yast AS turné
