Our primary objective with Yast is to make the world just a little bit easier with our easy to use time tracker. Today, we also made the world just a little bit better looking as well.
With the new design, we’re proud to say that the Yast partnership stretches all the way around the globe. From our headquarters in Norway, to our designers at Silver Pistol in Australia. Well done guys!
Apart from wrapping our time tracker into new graphics, we made changes to the publishing system. Making it easier to publish new information and tell the world what Yast is about.
Those of you who have followed us for some time have seen this before, but here’s a little walk down memory lane.

Simplicity! Yast caught the eye of bloggers around the world. You could try Yast immediately and sign up easily. But there was a problem. Google could not index the site. Even how much we loved the simplicity ourselves, we needed to spread the word, and more information was needed on the site.

Changes was made to build a Google friendly site. And while we waited for a more appealing design to come along, we changed the information architecture to step up the advertising.
Design 2.1 (present design)
Design by Silver Pistol
In december 2010 we got an offer from Australian web design and development company, Silver Pistol, that we could not refuse. They were already happy Yast users and they knew our features. They wanted to redesign our site so our web presence was as good as our product. Their resume of web-site design and copywriting weren’t too bad either! However, we had a request: We wanted the fjords of Sogndal to be the inspiration of the home page. That’s why you find mountains and trees everywhere in our presentations.
But now, finally after working with graphics, information and advertising, we are back to working with the core product. The Yast time tracker. Spread the word by tweeting, facebooking, mailing, whatever. Remember that the more users we get, the more we can do to make Yast even better!
