My whole life, my favorite chimp has been the attraction at Kristiansand zoo, Julius, who lived among humans when he was a child. Until today. My new favorite chimp delivers emails and is called MailChimp. To make the story short:
What is MailChimp?
It´s a mailing list service that lets you send newsletters and mails to mailing lists.
Why do I love it?
Because it is so absolutely elegant, easy and fun to use. I don´t even bother saying why, it just is, believe me.
Why do I love them enough to make a blog post about it?
– Because they sent me a t-shirt for free the other day and…
because I had an impact on their site!
When looking through newsletter reports, you can see how many in every country opening your newsletter. And since this Chimp has a sense of humor, it tells you everything in a positive tone saying:
– 30 opens occurred in Australia, Beaudy mate!
– 50 opens occurred in Brazil, Mandou Bem!
For Norway, it said:
– 30 opens occurred in Norway, Boyaaa!
Now that wasn´t particularly Norwegain, soo I sent them a twitter message, and the rest of the blog post is simply why MailChimp is my new favorite chimp.
@MailChimp Would like to suggest “HURRA” in the Mailchimp analytics for Norway: 103 opens occurred in Norway, HURRA! ^HG
@MailChimp We love you MailChimp! If you ever come to Norway, We´ll have bananas waiting at the airport! ^HG
That´s social interaction with your users, so Hurra for MailChimp. Maybe the best web app in the world that is not a time tracker.
