www.yast.com has entered a new phase. After nearly 10 months of closed testing, it’s now possible for everyone to try the first public test of our time tracking service.
This doesn’t mean that Yast is finished, fine-tuned and without errors. On the contrary, we open up the service so we can get more feedback on how we can improve and focus our future efforts. In addition, we have seen that many of the test users use the service on a regular basis. Especially freelancers and small companies report back to us that Yast is useful to their business.
Important to us, is our philosophy that you should be able to do a full test of Yast without spending valuable time on signing up or read about how good we think we are. That’s why we provide a full functionality version of Yast on our front-page www.yast.com. You don’t even have to sign up, just click, drag and release the mouse button in our “time bar” at the bottom of the page. If you like Yast, that’s perfect. But if Yast was not for you, then you haven’t spent more than 1 minute to figure that out. And you don’t have to worry about us sending you spam mail since you didn’t sign up to anything (Even if you did sign up, you don’t have to worry about us spamming you. We hate spam!).
In addition to previous functionality, this new version includes a new feature we are especially proud of. It’s nothing new to the internet-app world, that you can share documents and projects between groups or personnel. But the way this is implemented in Yast is at least new to us. (And yes, we have been looking at hundreds of other web sites). By creating “project groups in other project groups”, the user can by a drag´n drop interface design their own project structure. Combine this with group or project sharing, and the reports generated by using this technique well, allows a variety of result with impressively few mouse clicks. (Yes, we will create a demonstration video of this). However, this functionality is not thoroughly tested, and we need you to give us feedback and discover errors. Try it out by sharing a project or a group with a friend or colleague.
In other words, we need you to test Yast. And please give us feedback on our feedback-forum, or by sending an e-mail to email@example.com.
Thank you for using/testing www.yast.com. The best time tracking service online
The Yast team.
